Hertsmere Community Safety Partnership has installed two mobile CCTV cameras in the Moatfield Park area of Bushey. This is to help tackle crime and anti-social behaviour in the area.
The area has recently been highlighted as an area for concern. The mobile cameras will help increase surveillance in the area in addition to increased police patrols.
The cameras were installed in Bourne Road in April and Moatfield Park in May. They will remain in place for three months. After this time a decision will be made for the cameras to either remain in place or be moved to another area.
The CCTV cameras are part of a series of measures by the council to tackle crime, antisocial behaviour and to investigate and detect crime and to help provide a safe and secure environment for residents.
The CCTV cameras will be controlled and monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week by the Hertfordshire CCTV Partnership.
